The entrance of the main gate looks similar to the India Gate, and also has a touch of Chettinad style that resembles the door of Brihadeeswarar Temple in Thanjavur. The main dome is a replica of the Rashtrapathi Bhavan. Here you can also find a bronze statue of Dr Kalam playing the veena. Abdul Kalam Memorial comprises four halls that reflect various facets of Dr KalamтАЩs. Outside the memorial, you will find a garden that has plants brought from Bangalore, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. 

Ramanathaswamy Temple: Making Rameshwaram temple tourism popular in India and beyond, this temple houses one of the 12 auspicious Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva which are believed to be swayambhoo or self-manifested. It is also one of the destinations of the Char Dham Yatra, which is a pilgrimage of the highest ranks in Hinduism. By Flight: Rameshwaram does not have an airport. The nearest one is in Madurai. Madurai Airport is well-connected to major Indian cities like Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. After landing in Madurai, you may take a taxi or a bus to Rameshwaram.

By Train: The Rameswaram railway station is the major railhead. Trains from several major cities like Trichy, Thanjavur, Palakkad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Madurai, and Coimbatore halt at this station. 

By Road: Rameswaram enjoys excellent road connectivity with multiple cities across Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu Road Transport Corporation operates regular bus services from major cities like Chennai, Kanyakumari, Madurai, and Trichy.
