Best Time to Visit Nagpur

Winter months would be the ideal time for Nagpur tourism. You should especially consider planning your trip between October to March. The days here are pleasant and enjoyable during this time with light sunshine, making it ideal for sightseeing. The nights can be a bit chilly in winter so you must pack some warm clothes. The Dragon Palace features a gorgeous oriental design, which includes dragon motifs and a grand lotus flower structure. The structure is nested amidst lush green landscapes, which contributes to its meditative, tranquil ambience. The Dragon Palace was inaugurated in 1999 and is spread across an expansive area, which includes a large prayer hall and a captivating Buddha statue.

Zero Mile Stone: This is an important component of Nagpur city tourism. The Zero Mile Stone in Nagpur was built in 1907 during the Great Trigonometrical Survey of India. This project mapped the entire subcontinent and measured major landmarks like mountains, work that still informs our maps today. The sandstone pillar was named the Zero Mile Stone, and next to it is a small structure representing the GTS Standard Bench Mark. 

Dhamma Chakra Stupa: Also known as Deeksha Bhumi, this stupa is among the best tourism places in Nagpur. This stunning architectural body can accommodate more than 5,000 people. The Dhamma Chakra Stupa is 120 feet in height and is built of Dhaulpur sandstone, marbles and granites. The Dhamma Chakra Stupa is considered to be a symbol of peace, equality, and brotherhood.

Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary: Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a wide variety of endangered species of flora and fauna. Here you can find diverse types of wildlife, starting from Indian wild boar, Mouse deer, and Sambar deer, to Bengal tiger, leopard, chitkul and much more. The wildlife sheltered under the wildlife sanctuary includes mammals, reptiles as well as a wide variety of birds. There is a small museum is located inside the Nagzira Tourist Complex meant for the conservation education of the travellers. Here you can find a variety of stuffed birds in showcases.
