Kachari Ruins: The Kachari Ruins, also known as the Dimasa Kachari Ruins, are located in Dimapur. These ancient remnants comprise of a series of mushroom-shaped domed pillars and tend to be attributed to the Dimasa Kachari Kingdom that existed before the Ahom invasion in the 13th century. The ruins serve as a testament to an ancient civilization that thrived in the region between the 10th and 13th centuries, and provides a glimpse into the rich history of the Kachari kingdom.

How To Reach Nagaland

There are several ways to reach Nagaland.

By Flight: You can take a flight to Dimapur Airport. It is the only airport in Nagaland with regular flights operating from Dibrugarh, Delhi, and Kolkata. The nearest international airport would be the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati or Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata. You can easily find overnight buses for Nagaland from both Guwahati and Kolkata. 

By Train: Dimapur is the most important railhead in Nagaland and is well connected by trains to Guwahati and Kolkata. From Guwahati and Kolkata, you can find trains to almost any part of the country. 

By Road: Nagaland today has a robust network of National and State highways that connect to many important cities. Regular bus services, operated by both public and private providers, connect Kohima with other cities and districts across Nagaland. Inter-state buses also operate, linking Nagaland with neighbouring states such as Assam. Moreover, cabs frequently run between various cities, ensuring convenient travel options for passengers.
