Experience The Best Of Ladakh
When visiting Ladakh for tourism, you should consider checking out the following places
The Hall of Fame Museum
This museum is built and maintained by the Indian Armed Forces. It was established as a tribute to the Indian Armed forces and the soldiers who protect the borders of Kashmir valley shared by India, China and Pakistan. The Hall of Fame Museum showcases stories of the lives of the soldiers who were martyred in the Indo-Pakistan war. You can find memorabilia, profiles and pictures of brave Indian soldiers, as well as seized arms and facilities of the Pakistani army at this museum. A visit to the Hall of Fame Museum is an unmissable part of Leh Ladakh city tourism.
Pathar Sahib Gurudwara
This famous Gurudwara is dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev Ji and was built in 1517. This sacred place is believed to house a rock bearing the impression of the Guru’s back, and therefore symbolizing his divine presence. The rock acts as a testament to the visit of Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Ladakh. This holy place is revered not only by Sikhs but also Buddhists and Hindus.
Magnetic Hill
Your Ladakh tourism package must include a trip to the marvellous Magnetic Hill. It is a unique attraction that seemingly defies the laws of gravity. Vehicles seem to move upwards when parked at a particular marked location here. While there are several theories about the cause of this awe-inspiring phenomenon, experiencing it first-hand would indeed be a memorable experience. Moreover, you would also enjoy impressive views of the surrounding natural landscapes from the Magnetic Hill.
Sangam
Sangam is located at Nimmu on the Leh-Srinagar highway and marks the confluence of the Indus (Sindhu) and Zanskar rivers. It provides a stunning view to the visitors and is among the major highlights of Leh and Ladakh tourism. The flow of the two rivers at Sangam differs as per the season. While the Zanskar River has a rapid flow in the summer, the River is calmer. Zanskar slows down and almost freezes in the winter.
Khardungla Pass
Khardung La Pass is a gateway to a variety of dynamic, enthralling landscapes. Located at a height of 5602 m from sea level, it is one of the highest motorable passes in the world. It used to be a part of the ancient silk route once upon a time and therefore has a huge historical significance.
Hunder Village
While most people think about snowcapped mountains when thinking of Ladakh tourism, it is also a place where you can find incredible grey sand dunes and exotic double-humped Bactrian camels. Hunder Village is a fascinating destination where you can find a variety of terrains, starting from rolling white sands and a river gushing through, to lush trees and snow-clad mountains in the distance.
