Dutch Palace

This is a 16th-century two-storied palace built by the Portuguese. Also known as the Mattancherry Palace, it has been built in the traditional Kerala naalukettu model with four distinctive wings. These wings house a variety of portraits, artefacts, murals and replicas of the old maps of Cochin. The ceilings of the diverse halls of the Dutch Palace are decorated with wood-carved floral designs. On the walls of the Dutch Palace, you can find mythological mural paintings in rich warm colours. One of the star attractions of the Palace is the gorgeous mural paintings in its Royal Bed Chamber that depict the entire story of Ramayana. This painting is spread over about 100 square meters. 

Mattupetty Dam

Mattupetty Dam is a storage Concrete Gravity dam that tends to be a part of many Kerala tourism package. While the dam has been constructed to conserve water for hydroelectricity, it is also quite a scenic place surrounded by lush forests. There is also a stunning lake in the vicinity of the dam where you can enjoy a tranquil boat ride on its calm waters.

Echo Point Munnar

A visit to the Echo Point in Munnar will allow you to experience the best of Kerala Tourism. This enchanting place gets its name from the natural echo phenomenon that takes place here. If you shout something from the Echo Point, you will be able to hear your voice reverberate around the attraction.  The Echo Point marks the confluence of three mountain ranges, Kundala, Nallathanni and Mudrapuzha. It lies on the banks of a lake and is surrounded by velvety green slopes.  The Echo Point is a perfect spot for photography and birdwatching. You can spot a variety of native birds here. 

Periyar National Park

The Periyar National Park is surrounded by Cardamom Hills and is home to a wide variety of wildlife, starting from Sambar Deer, Nilgiri Tahr, and Wild Pigs to Lion-tailed Macaque, Flying Squirrel, and Stripe-Necked Mongoose. Jatayu Earth Center houses a museum that showcases the culture and history of Kerala via audio-visual exhibits and displays. There is a 6D theatre here that provides an immersive experience of the story of Ramayana with special effects and motion seats.
