Pampore, India’s saffron capital:

Saffron fields in Pampore are truly a sight to behold. It is located in the southern part of the Kashmir Valley, where saffron cultivation has been taking place for centuries. Initially, this was called the Hagan Valley. However, it was renamed to Betaab Valley after the shooting of the blockbuster Bollywood movie. The valley is surrounded by snow-clad mountains, lush green meadows, dense vegetation, free-flowing streams, as well as pine and deodar forests. Martand Sun Temple:

The Martand Sun Temple was built in the 8th century and is a brilliant example of early medieval Indian temple architecture. This temple is dedicated to the Hindu Sun God, Lord Surya. Even though the temple is in ruins today, it is considered to be a powerful symbol of the grand past of the Kashmir valley. Martand Sun Temple displays architectural forms of multiple cultures. You can find inspirations from Roman, Greek, Gupta Gandharan, Chinese and Syrian forms of architecture present across the temple complex. The walls of Martand Sun Temple have engravings of several Hindu gods, goddesses, and mythological scenes.

Gulmarg Gondola Ride:

A tour of Kashmir cannot be complete without a visit to Gulmarg. This cup-shaped valley is adorned with charming lakes, lush greenery, lofty snow-capped mountains and diverse types of flowers. At Gulmarg, you can also enjoy a Gondola cable car ride. Doing so would enable you to enjoy gorgeous panoramic views of the surrounding region from a great height. Depending on the time of your visit, you may get to view snow-covered slopes, tall green pine trees, snow-capped mountains, expansive green fields, and rocky terrains.
